laura frame
born in Glasgow in 1984, I grew up surrounded by sport and the arts. I graduated from the glasgow school of art in 2006, gaining a BA(HONS) in illustration.
my inspiration comes from people’s journey through life and their attitudes towards others. illustration helps me to explore confusing and conflicting feelings and allows me to deliberate on arguments from all perspectives.
often looking to literature and philosophy to help me explore community, celebrity and politics, I use my work as a way of communicating the impacts events have rather than the incidents themselves. this allows my work to be widely accessible and engaging.
since graduating my freelance commissions have included work from the editorial, publishing and fashion industries.
